Biography
Prof Babatunde Bakare is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Mangosuthu University of Technology Umlazi, Durban, South Africa. His research focus is within the broad area of, Faecal sludge management from onsite sanitation systems, water, and wastewater treatment processes, municipal and industrial solid waste management, and renewable energy (waste to energy). He is a rated National Research Foundation (NRF) researcher and has demonstrated excellence. He has published extensively in high-impact accredited journals and conference proceedings. Prof Bakare is currently the Group leader of the Environmental Pollution and Remediation Research Group at Mangosuthu University of Technology Durban South Africa. He has served as a panel member and reviewer for various projects and grant applications. Prof Bakare is currently an associate editor for the International Journal of Environmental Science and Technology and an Editorial Advisory Board Member for the Journal of Engineering, Design, and Technology.
